This series of sculptures was created for my B-Upfront show "Terra Flora," held in late 2006 with another B-Complex artist Heidi Rolla.
I first began experimenting with this size and style of sculpture in 2004 with Ichneumon Fly. The smaller scale allows me to focus on the finer details of each sculpture. Through those details I am able to create sculptural tableaus that give these creatures a time and place in the viewer's imagination.
