Solar Sculpture

The solar sculptures evolved from my desire for an alternative version of the fire sculptures that could be safe and durable for the public art realm.

I produced the first solar powered sculpture, Light of 1000 Souls, in 2005, with my friend, and electrical engineer, Joe Martin.

These multi-dimensional sculptures gain their energy from the sun during the day. At night they bloom with an array of patterns, color and light.
